Technical Issue!

AsperJosh has suffered a heavy impact. Every picture on every post before the Africa one has been lost due to an album online becoming corrupted.
I have almost every picture stored across 2 laptops and will slowly begin to re-upload them to my posts over a long period of time!
I will be starting from latest posts and work backwards to re-upload the pictures.
Thank you for understanding!
Joshua :'(

Christmas Holidays 2016

Christmas is a great time of year where everyone makes the effort to get together and buy gifts for everyone out of generosity and kindness, it's why I love this season a lot. Even if it's all stressful on the workload, limited time on offerings and prices go up, I still always do my best to buy meaningful and personal gifts for friends and family. Here's my Christmas 2016.

My 2016 South Africa Adventure (Trailer and Full Length Video)

Well, it's finally finished!!!
I've been putting this on hold for several months but I finally bucked up and got to work on this little beauty of wonder and nostalgia. I think I made this not only to show you all what me and my friends / family experienced but it was also the start of something in both awakening the "spirit of adventure" within me but also to reawaken the IT skill that I'd buried since leaving College.
I hope you all enjoy my work and I've encouraged you all to visit this magnificent land for yourselves, if I can do it... then so can you!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (Film Review)

"We have hope. Rebellions are built on hope!"
With the Galactic Empire reaching the end of the construction of their greatest weapon ever, a small band of Rebels attempt the impossible - to infiltrate the enemies stronghold and acquire the plans and discover how to destroy it.
With the odds not in their favour, just how can a small team pull off such a daring heist? This is the story that we've all been waiting for, this is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Family and Photography On The Isle Of Man (November 2016)

Me return to the Isle Of Man was a success in both photography as well as seeing my loving relatives and friends again in my week away. I saw the same breath-taking starry night as I did in September 2009 at a Mills's first Birthday that I went to and I saw the stars in the countryside at 2AM.
I learned a lot from this short experience and it's only become the start of a photography hobby and encouraged me and some others (after seeing my shots) to keep trying around West Sussex to try and practise and try different techniques, durations, settings and locations! And I was very blessed to have stayed with my loving Aunt and Uncle again, there on the Isle Of Man.

Visiting Family On The Isle Of Man (October 2013)

I was supposed to write this up in October but I was busy and stressed out. But now's the perfect time to recap about how from 10th - 13th October 2013, I went on my first short adventure to visit family on the Isle Of Man. It's the perfect time because I'm returning there from 26th Nov - 2nd Dec to hopefully achieve some Astrophotography as tis' the season to snap the Milky Way... I hope.
So here I'm talking about how incredible and wonderful it was to visit the island again since I was little as well as growing more closer than ever with my Uncle Jim, Auntie Marelle and Cousin Rosie.

Studio Ghibli: Spirited Away (Anime Review)

Here's an Anime that I think will touch the hearts of all ages and is suitable for families to enjoy who might even be new to watching Japanese Anime. I find this incredibly talented company to be the equal rival to Disney's PIXAR thanks to stories which act like journeys, great voice cast and animation that opens your eyes to a whole new world and culture, through the work of Hayao Miyazaki and his team/ friends. Here's the story of what happens when you are Spirited Away.

Bring Me The Horizon LIVE, November 2016 (My 7th Concert)

Bring Me The Horizon were EPIC as f*ck back on Saturday 5th November! I've been waiting since February when I purchased the tickets after getting stood up on my 2nd date with someone. Their recent work has been an influence on my life because their lyrics and music has comforted me and opened my eyes to things during Anxious moments in the year. I'm so pleased to have seen them with Kathy and I intend to see em again next time (with Syd from work). Anyway, check out my post with my YouTube videos of the show (too bad the playback quality sucks a little).

MCM London Comic-Con, October 2016

Celebrated another great Saturday at MCM by cosplaying as Roxas again and managing to meet up with 8/12 friends during the day. I also managed to discover an important fact to remember to help myself remain calm and enthusiastic instead of stressed and worried (a few days before). But more on that later on. Anyway, here's what shenanigans me and my friends got up to at October 2016's Comic-Con.

Tulleys Shocktober Fest Scream Park, Mid-October 2016

I know I'm pretty late with this post and I was currently in the middle of my Comic-Con one yesterday which is going up tomorrow. But stuff at home has been all over the place due to an unexpected infestation which has left us all tired and in different rooms over the last 2 weeks, so I've been feeling weird and uncomfortable (which is why these two posts are late). But all's well now and the source has been exterminated!
But to celebrate a late Halloween, I didn't go out on Halloween with it being a Monday. But back on 15th October, I went out with my friends to Tulleys Farm Shocktober Fest for the first time and had a right laugh and a few jumps here and their, so this might as well compensate for a late Halloween special, right?

3 Years Of Training To Get Stronger

You'd think that 3 year of training in a gym would make me look bigger or something, right Honestly, my training has been on/ off this year and I've been skipping sessions or a week here and then because I've been taking it easy on myself and enjoying my life more than pursuing something that I have forever to achieve.
And the thing is that this year, I've actually "come to terms" with how things are with my body and Crohns and what I can achieve and how different my body is compared to everyone else. It hasn't put me off training, but I have achieved some peace and understanding that I can still look and feel great with the muscles I have when I tense in the mirror compared to 2011 when I was skin and bones before joining the Pavilions in 2014.
Here I'm gonna lay out what I've been doing, thinking and thanking my friends for helping me get where I am now!
(Warning: This post contains narcissistic posing!)

Your Lie In April (Anime Review)

After his mother's passing, a Piano prodigy is losing the will to play. But after meeting a hyperactive, free-spirited and positive violinist one day, does his life turn around. Will he slowly reawaken that gift? Will he get dragged back onto the stage? Just how can she turn his monotone world back into colour?
Get ready for a cute romance anime with a touching classical soundtrack, this is Your Lie In April! (Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso)

The Tough Mudder Challenge 2016

My 2nd Tough Mudder was actually a lot more fun and easier than the previous one. It was also a lot closer to home (it was at Holmbush Farm, Faygate). I'm proud and amazed at how much faster we all were and now I believe that I can do this and maybe other obstacle run's much more confidently.  It's been delayed because of my incident on AsperJosh which has lost all my pictures and videos from every post and I've been trying to fix them all slowly but surely.
Anyway, 2 weeks later after the run I'm here to talk about it al and include pictures as best I can.

The Stupid AsperJosh Mistake of 2016

I wanted to write this short post for the record because it's a learning curve for me to cope with and a memory of when all of this became "fcked up". I can't believe I made a bone head mistake of accidentally deleting every picture on AsperJosh (except for my Africa post at the time). I'm treating the name like how old people tell stories of the "great" story of that year to keep everyone interested ha.
I'll explain how it happened but also explain how I've been coping and actions I'm taking to rectify this problem.

Walkers River Camp - Timbavati, South Africa 2016

I never thought I would be doing a trip to the Pride Lands anytime soon...
I've experienced quite an adventure our in the Kruger National Park whilst the photographing magnificent wildlife and living a different short way of life in just 10 days. I've made unforgettable memories with my 10 friends who have looked after me and helped me enjoy myself in Timbavati, South Africa.
Here's what I got up to in my 10 days in South Africa!

School Days - The Forest School

The fact that I can see how much I have changed in 6 years is really something... (the picture)
With the new School year approaching for many, I figured it was time to share some history...
How many of you had an easy school life? Where you were popular and socially equal to others with exceptional grades and weren't bullied? Well, you obviously weren't me! You see my school life was the toughest 5 years of my life and have shaped me into the being I am (maybe not entirely). This is my similar play on "Diary Of A Wimpy Kid" but through the eyes of a boy with Aspergers and Crohns in an all boys school. Here's my life at The Forest School.

Clannad After Story (Anime Review)

With Nagisa's dream play completed, Tomoya finally admits his feelings for her and they become a couple. However their school life is coming to an end and Tomoya has yet to help out more of his friends. But dark clouds are gathering and he will be tested on unbelievable life changing events, yet to come.
This Anime is remarkably emotional and like a glimpse into the future. This is Clannad Afterstory.

Preparing For Africa (Timbavati 2016)

Only less than 2 weeks left until I head off to the Pride Lands for 10 days with the others. And I still can't believe that I'm actually going to do this. I never back down from a challenge or go back on my word so I will see it through no matter how scared I may be.
I've spent A LOT of money on this trip, bought a lot of equipment and have been anxious, scared and excited about everything. Here's how I've been preparing for Africa!

Catching Up With Chris In London

On the Friday of my 4 day weekend, I made an impulsive decision to join a friend I made last year for a day out in the Capital. And it was a great day, great decision with a great friend.
I saw on Wednesday last week that Chris was up for Pokemon Hunting on Thursday and I said on his status that I was free for Friday. Shortly afterwards, he messaged me and we were planning already for a long delayed catchup in London for Friday.

Clannad (Anime Review)

This Anime stands out to many that I've come across so far, because this and it's even better sequel opened my eyes and life and even touched my heart. I encourage you to read or even watch the story of how a teenage outcast learns to make friends and help them. This slice of life, drama, romance Anime is very dear to me and I want to explain why, this is the story of Clannad.

Learning From A Very Short Relationship

I never thought that this year I would experience falling in love even for a short amount of time. I'm not here to talk about "her" who doesn't really want to be mentioned on here, rather I want to express my own feelings of happiness, lessons learned and how it's all made me a better person.

Thorpe Park (Leanne's 22nd Birthday)

Last Saturday felt like the start of the Summer as I returned to Thorpe Park after a long time and this time I wasn't chicken to go on any rides at all.
It's been 8 long years since I was here and it was an amazing and fun packed day with the squad shouting and wooing on the corkscrew and loop de loop rollercoasters all day long. Here's what happened on Leanne's 22nd Birthday at Thorpe Park.

Mirror's Edge (Game Review)

In a dystopian city where the city's regime monitor communication, control the media and freedom of alcohol and smoking is illegal. Life may seem restricted but that's what the "Runners" are for.  But when a famous politician is murdered and you are seen at the scene of the crime, your only option is to run and flee.
You are Faith Connors, a runner of this controlled city and you set out to solve the mystery and clear your name. This is Mirror's Edge!

My Late 23rd Birthday Celebration

"And that's about the time she walked away from me. Nobody likes you when you're 23" haha had to throw in those classic blink-182 lyrics from What's My Age Again?" for the moment that I am now 23 years old (well I turned 23 back on Monday 6th June, that is).
I had to work sadly on my Birthday but the fun was saved for Sunday (yesterday) and I've had a sensational weekend which I'm about to get round to.

Saturday 4 June 2016

MCM London Comic-Con, May 2016

Can't believe I nailed it last weekend where I queued up to meet Elizabeth Henstridge (Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D) whilst also managing to find 7-8 of my Con friends within a single day! Because I'm saving up for Africa (September) and I have my jabs coming up on 22nd June, I had to only go for the Saturday to MCM London Comic-Con, but I wasn't alone.
My partners in crime were Kathy, Kurt and his friend Will and we all had a blast. But the best thing was that I handled the day carefully and got some unfinished business sorted and did my best to meet up with almost everyone for a short period of time, each.
Here's what happened in my cram-packed end of May Saturday at the best Nerdy event in the Capital.

Issues LIVE, May 2016 (My 6th Concert)

Deep down we all have our own set of Issues, but my Issues range from personal matters that I must discuss/ share with others... the other side is listening to these incredibly talented guys!
I've been wanting to see these guys ever since purchasing their first album and EP back in June 2014, thanks to Lewis due to introducing me to the Metalcore genre after we went to Download Festival 2014.
It was pretty amazing (the recordings were affected like when I saw Owl City), still I'm glad that me and Lewis were with all the Hooligans singing and shouting our hearts out to a band that I've been relating to for a long time. I even had to create a YouTube channel so I could upload the recordings, since BLOGGER has a "100MB limit" and it wouldn't work. Who knows what else I'll do or upload on there. But I'd appreciate a Like or Subscribe as I add more concert recordings and someday make videos with music or animations (once I get good again)!
So last Thursday, I had the pleasure of seeing Issues at the KOKO.

*100th Post* School Memories - Chesworth Primary School

Me in Year 4 (9 years old)
At 6 years old, I was a really different kid to everyone else. I was "The lights are on but no one is home" kind of kid. I struggled to pay attention in lessons and wasn't really close to many people. Nevertheless I had a good time at my Primary School with kind teachers and children who I am still in contact with today (bless them for being patient with me).
So to celebrate my 100th post, I'm going to explain what was going through my head at Chesworth Primary School.

The Land Before Time II, III & IV (Childhood Memories)

It's been over 2 years and a month or two since I talked about one of my favourite films that I grew up watching. Even if it's a mixed experience of sorrow and friendship, it's still special to me. So now, I figured that I'd get round to combining 3 sequels from the collection and talk about them since they tie into my thoughts from when I was little (plus they will be mentioned in my upcoming Primary School post).
Like my Star Wars (Original) and (Prequel) Trilogy posts (though not as long I hope this time), I'm looking back on The Land Before Time II, III & IV films and how they are more positive and family friendly than the first story.

Farewell Evans Cycles, Hello Dolby Vivisol!

6 years and 8 months is how long I spent at my first ever job. I worked for the Bicycle company Evans Cycles near Gatwick and learnt many important lessons, gained confidence in my own knowledge and skills and became friends with many people through ha erd times and fun times too.
But as of Friday last week, I bid farewell to that place and to everyone who put up with me during all that time. And this week, I've been working at a Respiratory Warehouse called Dolby Vivisol (down the road from Evans) with Dad.
I won't say a lot or comment rudely about my hardship at my first job, but I am glad to have done more than my time at that place and now I'm onto new beginnings which will affect my lifestyle, personality and capabilities. Right now, I'm talking about my time and last day at Evans Cycles.

Captain America: Civil War (Film Review)

"United We Stand. Divided We Fall."
The Avengers team becomes divided after a mission goes south in the end costing lives and awakening them to the consequences from their past victories. Now Steve Rogers and Tony Stark go head to head over deciding the team's future. Meanwhile, the Winter Soldier resurfaces and is seen to be responsible for a major terror attack. The future of the Avengers is on the line and is being judged on the capture and arrest of Steve's best friend, as if that wasn't complicated enough.
Here's why Captain America: Civil War is a spectacular Marvel must see film.

Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee (Game Review)

The name Oddworld pretty much describes this game series in a nutshell. It's a classic game like no other to me, and right now I'm talking about it during my childhood whilst writing up some more posts to share for May. Plus I want to try to get back into the habit and routines while also still enjoying and not overwhelming myself.
Check out why Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee is a Playstation treasure.

Preschool Memories - St. Leonard's School

Seeing as Autism Awareness week was 2nd - 8th April, I figured I'd get round to sharing a story with you all on how different I truly was as a child during my preschool years when my Aspergers was discovered. I know it's late in the month but some things have been happening which I'll get round to later on. Plus I've been spacing out on doing anything on here to take some stress off, but I have loads to share and write up about during the end of this month and during May (depending on how things go).
Here I recap small memory fragments from when I was about 6 years old, at St. Leonard's Preschool.

A teenager acquires a unique ability to manipulate minds and begins to take matters into his own hands as the spark of rebellion begins to grow in Japan as rebel terrorists fight back against the almighty Britannian Empire who invaded their land 7 years ago. With royalty, loyalty and 2 sides waging war in military mecha, just how can one boy change the world as he himself begins to change? Check out why Code Geass is a unique anime!

A Month Of Being Busy And Change

I bet you've all been wondering "Where has he gone?" or "Is he planning something big?"
Actually, I've been experiencing a lot of change and hard work which has made my last month exhausting and a bit tough. So besides gym as usual, I've had numerous things happen and unfold which I'd thought I'd share on here and state some ultimatum's that I have in mind for the better and to no longer suppress myself or procrastinate anymore.

Deadpool (Film Review)

Marvel's most iconic and insane idiot in tight Red (no, not Spider-Man), finally appears on screens. The "Merc with a Mouth" makes his debut showing badass skills, sick humour and bloody violence in a Marvel film that really should have been rated 18 (it was related 15 in the UK), anyway here's Deadpool!

My Autistic Behaviour With Rock/ Metalcore Music, Anger And Anxiety

I've had these feelings in my head for months and I've been wondering how to explain this all out. I've come up with an idea to use my taste in music with some examples and videos (and a few dramatic pictures of me) to help me express all of this. You might learn something about myself (even I might) and this is all so that I can find peace from it all. So here I'm using lyrics from lots of songs as clear examples of my thoughts and confusion that I've been swimming in the last couple months. I don't know what will be accomplished by all of this, but it'll help me feel better. And it's an intriguing relation to Aspergers in it's own serious/ dramatic way!
I was originally going to call this post "My Autistic Behaviour with Rock, Metalcore and Screaming!"
I don't want anyone to worry or think different of me (that's the last thing I'd want). I dont have mental problems/ issues (paranoia, schizophrenia, bipolar etc), I'm just expressing so much to help others and myself understand how I've been feeling deep down so that I can feel much better!

Sword Art Online (Anime Review)

Starting a brand new game in a MMORPG virtual reality should be exciting right? But when the truth is revealed and dying is not an option, how can thousands of gamers hope to survive and finish a 100 level game in order to awaken from this nightmare? Check out why Sword Art Online is a remarkable anime!

Happy 2nd Anniversary, AsperJosh!

Another year passes and I continue to grow in confidence along with making more new friends, going out and living my life and most importantly, learning to love myself for the way I am.
Can't believe that I achieved 25,000+ Total Views on this little blog! I can't thank you all enough to making me feel so special and for taking the time to read my thoughts, love you all!
And now I've reached my 2nd year of working on this little project and it's really becoming a part of my life now and makes me feel spectacular.

Happy New 2016, Everyone!

Happy New Year everybody! Woo! How was your parties? I had a much better New Years compared to being ill last year. As for this year, I spent it all the way up in Letchworth Garden City with my new friends from this year's Comic-Con! More on that in a sec, but first I'll mention a bit on my Christmas Eve, Day and Boxing Day celebrations before getting to New Years!
So as you can guess, I'm talking about my crazy New Year's Eve and my Resolutions. Have any of you lot made Resolutions?
